Beyond the keynote: bringing the audience into the conversation
After Big Bloom Impact Challenges at the Women in Leadership Summit in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in November 2025, the Wellington summit in February 2026 showed again how collective intelligence can turn a conference audience from passive listeners into active contributors.
Using Big Bloom’s Design Thinking method (Empathy, Ideation, Rapid Prototyping and one-minute pitches), participants worked in 22 teams to explore the challenge, build on diverse perspectives and develop practical concepts to share with their fellow delegates.

From bold ideas to audience favourites
- Sips & Solutions: informal, off-desk gatherings over wine and cheese, or coffee, juice and fruit, designed to encourage relaxed, honest conversations and fresh thinking around complex challenges.
- O’Dino League: a playful, competitive mini-game with a dinosaur character that makes progress visible and encourages accountability, combining fun with a focus on performance.
Both concepts offered an alternative to another policy, framework or formal meeting, showing how simple, creative experiences help people connect, communicate and collaborate differently.
The impact at a glance
More than inspiration. Participation in action.
The Impact Challenge gave delegates more than a moment of inspiration. It offered a hands-on experience of collective intelligence and practical Design Thinking, showing what becomes possible when people work together under time pressure.
For conference organisers, Big Bloom complements keynote speakers with an engaging, facilitated experience that connects delegates, sparks new conversations and turns a shared challenge into ideas for action.
